Successfully managing a homebuilding or remodeling project requires careful planning, coordination, and execution. The first step at Samantha Jayne Design is to clearly define the project’s objectives, whether constructing a new home or renovating an existing one. This includes establishing a realistic budget that covers all necessary elements, such as materials, labor, permits, and contingencies, as well as creating a detailed timeline that outlines each phase from design to completion. Before beginning any construction, it’s crucial we secure the appropriate permits by understanding and complying with local building codes.
Assembling a skilled team of professionals—such as architects, general contractors, and subcontractors—is vital for the project's success. These professionals will be selected based on their vetted experience and reputation. 2. Design & Budgeting
After evaluating the potential of your property, we move into the dynamic phase of Schematic Design. During this stage, we explore several design options that align with your vision, all while offering updated construction cost estimates. For larger projects, such as remodels, additions, or new constructions, we provide a thorough Schematic Pricing document. This includes detailed specifications and drawings that enable contractors to deliver accurate cost estimates.
3. Development & Construction
Once the schematic design is approved and pricing is confirmed, we transition into Design Development. During this phase, Samantha Jayne Design works closely with the chosen contractor to fine-tune the design. We create a comprehensive set of construction documents, including all necessary specifications and drawings, ensuring your contractor can build the project exactly as envisioned. Additionally, we manage the permit process, handling all required documentation and applications to ensure full compliance with local regulations.
